This was a meaningful custom job that required recreating a piece of jewelry. An older man had lost his wife and had an onyx ring she had worn often. He wanted some way to reuse it so he could wear it. I cut the bezeled stone out and created a new turquoise embedded setting large enough to wear as a bolo
ornament while incorporating his wifes onyx ring.
This required making a new silver setting in which I created an organic border and the pebbles of turquoise
are coated in a clear resin so that it looks like stones in
a riverbead. Using contrasting suede leather I braided up the tie and the back of the bezel has rings for holding it on the leather tie which enabling it to be loosen or tighten as needed. Naturally he was estatic to have such a beautiful way to remember his wife while looking spiffy himself!
This ring is a custom job that was ordered by a client who had these pearls in another format that she did not like. She wanted a ring made with them and so we custom designed
the ring for the look she wanted. A shaky design that moves
when she does was the look she wanted. I fabricated a sterling setting that would enable me to hold the pearl cluster
with wire wrapping and the result was exactly what she
hoped for.
This was a remake of a very expensive piece that a client bought but the original design was ill fitting and actually dangerous as it poked into her chest. I had to take apart all the individual pieces and restructure the design for wearability
